  Talonflame es un pokémon que gracias a Tailwind, su habilidad Gale Wings, y la existencia de Focus Sash, casi siempre puede realizar Tailwind, siendo uno de los mejores controladores de velocidad del metagame y haciéndolo aparecer en 7 de cada 10 batallas aproximadamente.

1. Lycanroc Scarfed con Accelrock + Barraskewda con Aqua Jet, Naturaleza +Speed, y Velocidad superior a 195 (Velocidad de Talonflame). *Puntos débiles: - Tsareena de compañera de Talonflame. - Quick Guard.

2. Urshifu-Rapid-Strike Scarfed con Surging Strikes + Weezing (Kanto o Galar) que tenga Neutralizing Gas de habilidad. Puntos débiles: - (En el sentido de estar sacrificando un pokémon): Pokémon con ventaja de tipo contra Urshifu-Rapid-Strike (que sean compañeros de Talonflame) que le puedan dar OHKO a este, y que no puedan ser derrotados de ninguna manera por Weezing antes, por ejemplo: Toxtricity. - Quick Guard.

2. Urshifu-Rapid-Strike Scarfed with Surging Strikes + Weezing (Kanto or Galar) with Neutralizing Gas as ability. Weak points: - (In the sense of being sacrificing a pokémon): Pokémon with type advantage against Urshifu-Rapid-Strike (as Talonflame’s pairs) that can give OHKO to it, and that can’t be defeated in any way by Weezing before, Example: Toxtricity. - Quick Guard.

 

3. Accelgor Modest full At. Esp. full Speed, con Choice Specs y Water Shuriken + Pokémon con la habilidad Llovizna. Puntos débiles: Existen pero no suelen ser vistos.

Pokémon con Fake out/Feint/Extreme Speed/First Impression (todos son movimientos con prioridad superior a 1 (la cual es la prioridad de Tailwind)) + Pokémon más rápido que Talonflame (excepto si nuestro compañero tiene Fake Out), probablemente Scarfed, ejemplos: Lycanroc Scarfed con Accelrock, Urshifu-Rapid-Strike Scarfed con Surging Strikes, Barraskewda, etc.; y con un movimiento que remate a Talonflame. Puntos débiles: - Tsareena de compañera de Talonflame, excepto si uno de nuestros pokémon es Weezing (Kanto o Galar) con Neutralizing Gas y una ofensiva que pueda rematar a Talonflame (ejemplo: Sludge Bomb con un Ataque Especial Decente). - Quick Guard, excepto para pokémon con Feint (ignora Quick Guard), o con Fake Out que sean más rápidos que el usuario de Quick Guard (Fake Out y Quick Guard tienen la misma prioridad (+3)). - En la mayoría de los casos que el compañero de Talonflame pueda ser un pokémon relativamente rápido con Fake Out.

Weak points: - Tsareena as pair of Talonflame, except if one of our pokemon is Weezing (Kanto o Galar) with Neutralizing Gas and an offensive that can top off Talonflame (example: Sludge Bomb with a decent Special Attack). - Quick Guard, except for pokemon with Feint (ignores Quick Guard), or with Fake Out that are faster than the Quick Guard’s user (Fake Out and Quick Guard have the same priority (+3)). – In almost all cases that Talonflame’s pair can be a relatively fast pokemon with Fake Out.
